At Indie Retro News, we love to keep our readers informed about the latest developments in the gaming scene. Recently, we’ve shared exciting announcements such as the arrival of Leisure Suit Larry: In the Land of the Lounge Lizards and Toki Remastered on the C64. Now, we’re thrilled to unveil another project destined for the Commodore 64, as developer Marcos Healey reveals he is working on a C64-inspired game drawing from the PlayStation classic ‘LittleBigPlanet’.
More time traveling dev adventures with my C64 LittleBigPlanet project – Just added text bubbles (C64 enthusiasts might notice their overlap with the border, which I’m quite pleased with!) and made further tweaks to the sound. Still figuring out Goat Tracker but making steady progress… pic.twitter.com/oJULbuuYSc

While Marcos aims to capture the essence of LittleBigPlanet in this C64 adaptation and has significant experience with the original game, he has clarified that he is not striving for a feature-complete port. However, there’s plenty of reason for optimism; retro hardware like the C64 has proven capable of amazing coding achievements, as evidenced by titles like Sam’s Journey!
