(Nasdaq: MAT), a prominent global toy and family entertainment company, in collaboration with Limited Run Games, a premium publisher of physical video games, has announced the upcoming release of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction, a retro-style 2D brawler for console and PC. The game is developed alongside Bitmap Bureau® (Terminator 2D: NO FATE, Final Vendetta) and was revealed at Opening Night Live (ONL) during gamescom 2025, the largest video game trade and consumer event worldwide. This new title is slated for release in 2026, with physical pre-orders and digital availability expected early the same year.
Drawing inspiration from the classic ’80s cartoon, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction enables players to take control of beloved heroes from Eternia, such as He-Man, Teela, and Man-At-Arms, in their fight against Skeletor and Evil-Lyn to protect Eternia from impending doom.
Players will battle through over 12 exhilarating levels, employing character-specific moves, abilities, and power-ups to thwart Skeletor’s ancient plan that threatens to engulf Eternia in darkness. Battle Cat, He-Man’s loyal companion, joins the fight, fiercely battling alongside the heroes.
