Another Amstrad game has appeared, as Xenomorph was kind enough to let us know about the latest game called ‘Tiny Quest’ which has been ported over to the Amstrad CPC by Outsoftware. After spending the last three weeks mastering source-code conversions for underserved classic systems like the Sam Coupé, Einstein 256, Timex 2068, and Sinclair QL, the developer successfully completed over 30 ports. Among these projects is Tiny Quest, a title originally built for the Commodore 64. Thanks to the original author, Andrea Schincaglia, generously sharing the C64 source code, Outsoftware was able to faithfully port this challenging experience directly over to the CPC.
If it’s anything like the original game on the C64, then it will be a test of skill, requiring lightning-fast reflexes, advanced planning, perfect timing, and a massive dose of self-control. Players must guide Mr. Cube through hazardous, rapidly shifting environments on a mission to find his true love before a punishing energy meter runs out. The developer warns that while some screens might appear entirely hopeless, every single level can be beaten with enough practice. With nasty traps lurking around every corner, each mistake will cost you one of your five precious lives—meaning a single slip-up could bring an abrupt end to your entire quest.
