While I’m generally not a fan of games developed with the redpill engine, as they tend to be slow and cumbersome, there is one exception worth trying: Tecniman’s upcoming game, ‘SwitcherBoy’, designed for the Commodore Amiga AGA. This game stands out by being smooth and engaging, requiring players to dodge enemies and flip switches to unlock the exit before time runs out. Below, you can find the latest gameplay footage.
According to the latest updates on the Aminet website, “SwitcherBoy” is a game still in development for AGA-based Amiga systems with some additional fast RAM, and aims to offer compatibility with ECS/OCS setups in the future. It’s crafted to run efficiently even on lower-end configurations.
- Developed with the Redpill engine, featuring graphics derived from public domain resources and an original soundtrack by Fermix.
- A special shoutout to the testers who contributed to refining the game across various systems: Tolkien, Jorger, Zener, Daphy, and PolloHacker.
- Lastly, a big thank you to Daphy for the translation and cultural adaptation into English and Dutch.
