During my recent two-day break, I stumbled across some exciting news for the Amiga community! While exploring various homebrew forums, I discovered that Juande3050 is set to release his Alien Breed-inspired AGA game titled ‘Xenomorph’. This creation, developed under the Redpill framework, secured a second-place finish in the Posadas 2025 competition. Although the game isn’t available yet, AmigaFrance has shared the latest updates and gameplay footage, which you can check out here.
Here’s what we know so far: “Xenomorph (by Juande3050) is a game created using Redpill. It finished in second place at the 2025 Posadas competition. The story begins with a dark twist: after a catastrophic mission leaves you as the sole survivor, you intercept a distress signal from a nearby colony. With no replies or signs of life, only a looping transmission, you’re compelled to investigate. Hurt and low on ammunition, you enter an eerily quiet shed. The gameplay features an aerial perspective, where players navigate intricate corridors and rooms. A HUD at the bottom of the screen displays energy levels, collected keys, and a crucial radar. This “Army Device – Human Life Force Scanner” not only maps the area but also indicates the player’s position and signals present in the vicinity.”
That’s it for now! I’ll keep you updated once the game becomes available 🙂
