At Indie Retro News, we have a soft spot for the Atari XL/XE and we can’t resist sharing the latest games for this system. Saberman has sent us another update, this time for the classic game ‘Lord of the Orb’, originally released in 1985 by Antic Software. Check out the new levels in the game in the video below.

While I haven’t played the game myself and information is scarce, here’s a brief overview from others: “A vertically scrolling clone of Tutankham. Played and enjoyed this game very much. It’s very similar to King Tut’s Tomb and Dandy, which makes it a solid pre-Gauntlet dungeon crawler.” If you’ve played the game, share your experiences in the comments below
