In 1984, a questionnaire was created by Rob Berk and published in Steve Young’s Silverball Quarterly, asking readers if they would be interested in a national pinball convention. The overwhelming response was positive.
Pinball Expo was born out of Rob Berk’s love for pinball, with the goal of recognizing and celebrating the designers and artists behind the games. With the help of Bill Kurtz and Mike Pacak, Pinball Expo became a reality in Chicago, the heart of pinball culture. Established in 1985, Pinball Expo is the longest-running event dedicated to pinball.
The 40th anniversary of Pinball Expo in 2024 was a huge success, attracting nearly 400 attendees from around the world, over 110 speakers, 120 vendors, factory tours of 4 pinball manufacturers, a wide variety of home-brew machines, and much more.
For ticket information, contact Rob Berk at [email protected] or [email protected], or call 330-716-3139. Visit the website for tickets and vendor registration.
The event space for the expo will be approximately 100,000 square feet, featuring vendor booths, free play games, tournaments, educational displays, and more. Specific move-in and move-out times are outlined on the website.
