Stern is Remastering The Walking Dead Pinball, Plus Spooky Pinball is Launching Motörhead!
I wanted to share a quick update to clarify some earlier rumors that have been circulating, especially since some are claiming they’re not accurate.
First off, a remake of Stern Pinball’s The Walking Dead is confirmed to be happening this fall. I’m open to accepting bets for anyone interested!
In addition, Stern is gearing up to utilize the Aerosmith parts I noticed during my factory tour for another production run slated for 2025.
Lastly, Pinball Brothers expressed interest in acquiring the Motörhead pinball license last year, as it’s quite popular in parts of Europe. However, they were unable to secure it because Spooky Pinball already holds the license and is producing the game, which was showcased at TPF. As Spooky mentioned, they have postponed the Motörhead project to 2026.
Now, a quick disclaimer: Rumor articles are intended to be enjoyable and spark interest in the hobby. They’ve been around for decades, dating back to publications like PinGame Journal. When I discuss a rumor, I strive to convey my level of confidence, but it’s not an exact science. If it were directly from the manufacturer, it wouldn’t be classified as a rumor—it would simply be news. I feel quite positive about these three particular rumors, but we’ll only know for certain when they come to fruition.
I’m really looking forward to what’s on the horizon for pinball in 2025. It promises to be an exciting year for the hobby!
