The ModRetro Chromatic, a modern handheld device that plays original Game Boy and Game Boy Color cartridges, will be a popular Christmas gift this December, just like the original Game Boy was back in 1989. While the Chromatic is more of an update of the 1998 Game Boy Color, it still pays homage to the original version.
When the original Game Boy was released in 1989, it was priced at $89 with Tetris included. In comparison, the Chromatic is priced at $199 and includes a ModRetro-developed version of Tetris. Adjusted for inflation, the Chromatic is actually cheaper than the original!
