Carrion(c64portal) has recently showcased new footage of the upcoming Commodore Amiga OCS game ‘Robot Jet Action 2’. This game, originally released for the Commodore 64 in 2022, featured challenging levels and different themed worlds, providing a highly entertaining experience. While the release date for the Amiga version is still unknown, the creator has announced that Robot Jet Action 2 is now being developed using Earok’s Scorpion Engine.
Here’s the latest update from the creator regarding the game’s development: “Hello. Time for an update on what’s happening with the game. About 2-3 weeks ago, I started working with the Scorpion Engine and was blown away by its capabilities. The work done with this tool is truly remarkable and the support from the SE community has been invaluable. Since May of this year, there had been little progress with the game until I started using SE. The development speed with SE has been significantly faster compared to my previous work with BB.”
“The performance of the RJA2 is currently very good. SE offers flexibility in defining sprites, bobs, and other elements like rainbows and parallax scrolling, making testing easy on platforms like fs-uae or winuae. Personally, I prefer FS-UEA. The development environment with SE has been excellent, so I will continue working with it until the next update, coming soon.”
Stay tuned for more updates on Robot Jet Action 2 as we learn more!
