I have always had a soft spot for the Sega Mega Drive, especially with my growing collection of classic games like FINK, Golden Axe, Mickey Mania, and my personal favorite Comix Zone. When I discovered that RetroLover was working on porting ‘Phantasy Star II’ from the Sega Mega Drive to the Commodore Amiga, I was intrigued. Although still in the early stages of development, I am excited to share the latest demo footage with you today.

Here are the latest details in brief: “This project is a tribute to the Amiga and the legendary RPG ‘Phantasy Star II’ for the Sega Mega Drive. My goal is to bring back my favorite RPG of all time to the Amiga. The game’s visuals are faithful to the original, preserving all the elements that made ‘Phantasy Star II’ an iconic RPG. I aim to make the full game run on an Amiga 500, although I am still learning to develop on the Scorpion Engine, so for now I plan to push as far as possible, even if it will only run on an A1200.”
