German developer Headup Games’ “Typoman” is a charmingly dark mash-up of puzzle-solving and platforming, polished into a clever little pulp novel of a game. It could have worked on any console, but the Wii U GamePad makes it feel tailor-made for Nintendo’s fledgling system. Easy to explain but harder to master, “Typoman” literally builds its hero out of letters—and that’s only the beginning.
