Indie Retro News: Track'N'Field - Centuri/Konami's button mashing Sports game gets an Amiga release!

As I browsed through my inbox for the latest gaming updates, I discovered thanks to Saberman that JOTD’s much-anticipated Arcade to Amiga port of the classic button-mashing game ‘Track & Field’ by Centuri/Konami has officially launched as version 1.01 for the Commodore Amiga, featuring music by n09! One player remarked that “This game is going to be a major hit in Amiga terms; it’s absolutely addictive, comparable to Hyper Sports!”

According to Wikipedia, “Players compete in various events, mainly by rapidly pressing two buttons to make their onscreen character run faster. The game features a horizontal side-scrolling layout that shows one or two tracks at a time, along with a large scoreboard displaying world records and current attempts, set amidst a cheering crowd. It was a commercial success worldwide in arcades and became one of the top arcade games of 1984.”
