Exciting news for Amiga fans! If you’re in search of a fresh adventure game, look no further. Thanks to a tip from Saberman, we can announce that the Cyberpunk-inspired adventure game, NEONnoir, developed by SteamKnight, is now available for download. This hybrid point-and-click adventure and visual novel is designed for the Amiga 1200 and was a participant in the Amiga Blitz Basic Game Jam.
SteamKnight shared insights about the development of this game: “This project took me five months to create for the Amiga Blitz Basic Game Jam, which aimed to foster community engagement and knowledge sharing around Blitz Basic programming. I was initially unfamiliar with Blitz Basic, but the community’s support was so motivating that I couldn’t resist joining in. In a lighthearted note, I must confess, ‘reader beware, my code isn’t the best.’ I’ve learned a lot since then and would approach things differently now. Although five months seems substantial, it’s the longest I’ve dedicated to a game. This story marks my most complex creation to date, and while it embraces certain clichés, I take pride in it.”
UPDATE: The game was released a while ago, but a recent update nearly two weeks ago has brought it to version 1.2.2 on its Itch.io page. However, specific details regarding the changes remain elusive on available platforms.
