This month has been busy with exciting news, and it shows no signs of slowing down! Recently, Andrew McCarthy shared on our IndieRetroNews Facebook page that the beloved 1987 adventure game, *Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards*, is being ported to the C64 by RetroBytes. Although there’s footage of the game showcased below, it’s worth noting that a different version was previously in development but was never completed. The original AGI engine of the game faced compatibility issues with the C64’s hardware limitations. Here’s hoping this new version makes it to market!
According to Google, *Leisure Suit Larry* is a series of graphic adventure games released on various platforms. However, the original game was never officially released for the C64. It debuted on the IBM PC in 1987, and while there have been attempts to port it to the C64, no official release has taken place. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that this new port is completed, allowing us to enjoy some Larry fun on our C64s!
