Growing up, I was a huge fan of the classic 1981 arcade game Frogger by Konami. It was full of charm, offered engaging gameplay for kids, and really made you root for those little green frogs as they navigated a busy road and a river full of logs and crocodiles to reach safety on the other side. So, when happycodingzx announced ‘Frogger RX’ on itch.io—essentially an arcade-inspired version of Frogger for the ZX Spectrum—I felt compelled to share it here on IRN.

Check out the latest details on their itch.io page linked HERE. “This is a free demo of a pre-release version of Frogger RX for the ZX Spectrum. It includes two complete game rounds, AY sound and music, and many features reminiscent of the arcade classic. Future updates will add snakes, crocodiles in the home squares, and otters, along with beeper sounds for the 48k version and other quality-of-life improvements. You may encounter some bugs, especially with music playback, so feel free to report any issues. The full game will eventually be available for purchase, but it’s free for those who support me on Patreon (link). By signing up, you’ll gain access to my full catalog of over a dozen games.”
