An Unofficial and Incomplete Demo Showcase for the Amiga Using Scorpion Engine
Here’s an intriguing update for everyone! While exploring the EAB forums for game discussions, we discovered that Earok, the creator of the Scorpion Engine, has released a collection of unofficial and unfinished demo projects for the Commodore Amiga. He emphasizes that these demos, although available for download, are not designed for actual gameplay. However, that hasn’t deterred us; below are the latest videos and additional details from Earok.
That’s quite a list of videos! In Earok’s own words regarding these demos: “I want to clarify that the unofficial demos pack is not intended for gameplay by Amigans in their current form. These projects contain open assets from various contributors, meant to serve as a foundation for Scorpion developers to learn from or build upon. Since they were never meant to be played as-is, they aren’t really suited for reviews or criticism. However, anyone is welcome to take what’s been created on titles like Contra or others, and enhance it into a full game.”
That about sums it up! If you’re interested in experimenting with these projects, you can find them at this link: here.
