WOW! That’s What I Call Shoot ‘Em Ups (2025, Psytronik Software) – The Universe of Commodore 64

A fresh collection of Commodore 64 games has launched, featuring 10 exciting SEUCK-based shoot ’em up titles crafted by Alf Yngve, including both vertical and side-scrolling action.

Alf has skillfully employed every trick to deliver the ultimate shoot ’em up experience.

This game pack comes with a manual containing instructions for each game, along with additional features. Some titles even include a two-player split-screen mode.

Here are the ten SEUCK-based shooters included in the collection:

  • Arhena Special Edition – A sci-fi shooter set in a futuristic landscape.
  • Bank Run – An action-packed chase following a bank heist.
  • Border Blast 3 Enhanced – Defend the border against incoming threats.
  • Cosmic Combat DX – Engage in a space battle against alien forces.
  • Double or Nothing – A split-screen shooter supporting two-player gameplay.
  • Droid Rumble – Robot warfare set in a cyberpunk world.
  • Flying Cobra RX – Classic aerial shoot ’em up thrills.
  • Grayhawk – Intense aerial combat in a futuristic realm.
  • Operation Metalstorm – A military mission in a perilous war zone.
  • Split Second – A high-speed shooter demanding quick reflexes.

The games feature unique user interfaces and music composed by Richard Bayliss, recorded directly from a C64. The package includes formats like .crt (cartridge), .d64 (disk), and .prg (program), allowing play on emulators like VICE, C64 Mini/Maxi devices, or authentic hardware. While the collection is available for free download, a limited physical edition can also be found at the Psytronik Store.

Exclusively released at Zzap! Live 2025.

Due to their appeal, many players find these games incredibly entertaining, although some titles are only compatible with PAL-system C64s, which may create challenges for NTSC users.
