Indie Retro News: Star Dust Wars

A fan-made homage to the legendary Star Wars arcade game has been released by Electric Black Sheep, known for games such as None of Us, Drag and Drop, Project Horizon Engine and Dual. The game, titled ‘Star Dust Wars’, offers a visually stunning environment that combines nostalgic gameplay with modern creative touches. Saberman has provided footage of the game in action, which can be viewed here.

“Star Dust Wars” features custom-designed graphics and animations, along with music inspired by Star Wars from freely available sources. The game was released on November 30, 2024, as a tribute to the enduring legacy of the Star Wars universe.

The developers noted, “When AMOS was developed, they would not have imagined it being used for something like this. Although the game requires resources, it is not magic. It is rare to see a similar game on the Amiga, so we wanted to give it a try.”

Recommended: A1200 (HDD) + FastRam and Accelerator for optimal framerate.
