Duke Nukem is back. Captured by an alien foe in the middle of promoting his best-selling book, “Why I’m So Great”, Duke must once more defeat the forces of evil to save himself from the knowledge-stealing Rigelatins, and ultimately prove his book’s namesake. In this sequel to the 1991 high-octane, bot-busting video game, Duke Nukem, the King of Action must blast, cannon, missile and flame his way to victory – a victory that would stop the secrets of both ass-kicking and bubblegum from falling into the wrong hands.

While you were battling the evil forces of D’Sparil, the other Serpent Riders were busy sowing the seeds of destruction in other dimensions. One such dimension is the decaying world where Hexen takes place. A world littered with the mangled corpses of nonbelievers and inhabited by the undead followers that executed them. Only three humans &endash; a warrior, a mage and a cleric &endash; have escaped the leaders’ vicious spell. Now these brave souls have sworn to crush the evil regime that threatens to destroy the world forever. Separated upon entering the mystical portal, the three are forced to attempt on their own what they had hoped to do together: find Korax’s stronghold, destroy him and restore order in the physical world.

Become one of 3 heroes. Wield superhuman powers and lethal weapons.
Walk. Run. Fly. Look all around. Inflict serious pain.
Pillage your way through earthquakes, crumbling bridges and fog.
Track down powerful artifacts and cast wicked spells.

    Electronic game ‘Shuttle Voyage’

    1983

This Shuttle Voyage game is a Chinese copy of Ninendo’s Game and Watch series of electronic games. Game and Watch was a successful line of products from Nintendo that generated enough profit for the company to invest heavily in researching and developing the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and the Gameboy. This ensured the company’s survival and dominance through a competitive period of electronic game industry development, consumption and growth. The game has a monochrome LCD (liquid crystal display) screen on which the player can control the movement of characters through a themed set of tasks. The balance between an achievable outcome and a degree of difficulty invited the user to play the game again and again, thus achieving one of the principal goals of electronic game design. This electronic game comes from a group of twelve items donated by Michael Henry, which together provide a glimpse of play and family life in one Australian household.
