Castlevania is a game worth mentioning on Indie Retro News. Today’s news is special as the developer Dante Retro Dev has announced that the Scorpion Engine created Castlevania AGA is now feature complete. We have footage of the game and a list of additions/changes below:
Developer’s description of the game: A reimagined port of the 1986 original with visuals inspired by Castlevania Chronicles. It aims to provide a playable and pure version of the original Castlevania with an Amiga flavor.
Dev Notes: Game is complete as of January 2025. CD32 native version added. A1200/A4000 versions available in various formats.
- 6 main tracks arranged by Estrayk, others will be replaced by Martin Eriksson.
- Some bosses need re-balancing for version 1.0.
- CD32 version has different controls for special weapons.
