WOPR64 – Start World War III with your C64!
This expansion board might not be THAT potent but like the original, the super computer WOPR* (W.O.P.R) in the classic 80s movie WarGames, this board is armed with a whole bunch of blinking red and yellow LEDs.
Need a reason to get one? Here’s 32. The 32 LEDs indicate the following signals A0-15 (address bus), D0-D7 (data bus) and EXROM, GAME, I/O1, I/O2, IRQ, NMI, RESET and WRITE(/READ). The last group (“Control”) indicate active LOW signal; LED is lit equals signal low/active. Besides the incredible light show, the board also acts as an extender/angle adapter for cartridges and similar. But that’s not all; there’s a easy to access reset button on the board too. Please note that a connected cartridge is NOT required to make the LEDs blink. They will blink according to what the CPU is doing at the moment.
This is a community supporting project and royalties have been paid to the private manufacturer of the WOPR64.
