Exciting news! The highly awaited playable demo of the Giana Sisters-inspired platform game has just launched.

This game impresses not only with its captivating visuals and gameplay but also with its technical prowess, crafted using the newly released C64 Game Maker.

Alongside smooth screen scrolling and top-notch animations, you’ll encounter delightful surprises, including gigantic foes.

The current demo allows players to explore the very first stage, igniting anticipation for the full version.

The recently released C64 Game Maker version v2.0.1 offers exciting new features:

  • MDI Application;
  • Support for various character modes: Standard Character Mode (SCM), Multi Color Mode (MCM), Extended Background Color Mode (ECM) with assembly and basic exporter;
  • Sprite modes supported: monocolor and multicolor with exporter for assembly and basic;
  • Bitmap cells (Blockset) support: monocolor and multicolor, with the ability to import full-screen bitmaps (note: no dedicated full-screen bitmap editor);
  • Edit multiple characters/sprites/blocks in a grid, mixing monochrome and multicolor characters;
  • Editing tools include:
    • Up to 4 Layers;
    • Transform tools: shifting, rotation, resizing, inversion, mirroring, flipping;
    • Drawing tools: freehand, line, ellipse, rectangle, floodfill, with two-color dithering options.
  • Import images to characters, sprites, or blocks, with automatic color fitting and dithering support;
  • Import/Export data and project items;
  • Animation editor with “ghost” feature;
  • Optimization for characters, sprites, and blocks by removing unused elements;
  • Unified clipboard for sprites, characters, and blocks;
  • Drag & Drop support;
  • Add background/foreground images for easier decaling;
  • Zoom/Pan functionalities;
  • 100 levels of undo/redo;
  • Tiles editor (character or block based);
  • Screens editor (character, block, or tile based);
  • Support for RLE and LZO compression;
  • Includes a simple BASIC language transpiled to C/C++;
  • State-machine based programming model;
  • Sprite abstraction called “Actors”;
  • Path and map definitions for actors;
  • Level and game definitions;
  • Sound effects support through SidSFX Editor v0.1.1 or higher;
