Indie Retro News: Platman MC

Back in 2016, I introduced Saul Cross and Wanax’s arcade platformer ‘Platman’. I was confident it would excel in the RGCD C64 16KB Cartridge Game Development Competition 2015/16. Today, this charming homebrew by Wanax and team has been reimagined and updated as Platman MC. It is an enhanced and multi-color version of a game that is truly enjoyable on your Commodore 64.

Here’s the latest information from the creator: “The objective of the game is to collect the items on the screen, mainly a variety of fruits. Some screens contain a key that is necessary to progress. Additionally, there are pulsating power pills on certain screens that, when consumed, allow you to eat and eliminate the ghosts within a time limit. The game also features various traps, pits, and cannons that shoot bullets at a consistent rate, posing a threat to Platman if he touches them!”
