In 2015, Retream’s Arcade platformer ‘QUOD INIT EXIT’ received a special mention. The game featured a cute little pig, fast-moving fruit, and vibrant colors that made it a must-play on the C64. Now, a sequel is in the works, as teased on Twitter. ‘QUOD INIT EXIT II’ promises to continue the piggy greatness, and we can’t wait to dive into it once it’s completed.
The sequel, ‘QUOD INIT EXIT II,’ is a much larger game than its predecessor, boasting colorful high-resolution backgrounds and sprites, full-screen 50 fps scrolling, and a range of new features. The game will also include a smoothly animated main character, huge maps, and entertaining short stories for an introduction and ending.
UPDATE: Recent updates from the creator on Twitter reveal that one of the game’s levels, the mad scientist’s TOWERS, is now complete. This level, inspired by ‘IM2,’ posed challenges due to its fake 3D perspective. The team has also made numerous improvements and optimizations to enhance the overall gaming experience.
Improvements:
- * Addressed issues with the belly meter replenishment delay;
- * Enhanced endpoint blinking visibility;
- * Made adjustments to character animations;
- * Fine-tuned audio elements;
- * Implemented various optimizations;
- * Fixed flashing mechanics and zone transition glitches;
- * Added the TOWERS zone;
- * Rearranged zone order for a smoother progression;
- * Expanded and improved maps for CLIFFS and FORTRESS zones;
- * Updated visuals in the frontend, intro, and outro;
- * Revised documentation and manuals for a better user experience.
