Ghosts’n’Goblins – A Sneak Peek at the Amiga’s AGA Version!

Indie Retro News: Ghost'n'Goblins - Check out this AGA tease for the Amiga, it looks pretty decent!

From the depths of 1985, Capcom blessed us with the iconic Ghosts ‘N Goblins series, a challenging side-scrolling platform adventure that haunted gamers with its creepy enemies and unforgiving difficulty. Now, thanks to Skyzoo73, the first demo of an AGA edition for the Amiga has been unleashed, breaking free from the limitations of the classic Amiga 500. This demo, created with the Scorpion Engine, offers a glimpse of how Ghosts ‘N Goblins could look on the Amiga platform. While the demo only includes the first level of the game and may have some bugs or sub-optimal features, it serves as an exercise in pushing the boundaries of the beloved classic. With graphics sourced from various sources and MAME, programming by Skyzoo73 with assistance from Griffon, and music by IM76, this demo showcases the potential of Ghosts ‘N Goblins on the Amiga in a 256×240 px resolution with 64+16 colors. Check out the itch io page for more details and stay tuned for updates.
