Looking for something different in the world of Amiga gaming? Check out ‘RallyXSE’, a proof-of-concept top-down racer being developed for the Commodore Amiga using the Scorpion Engine. This game will require AGA (Stock A1200) to run. While there is no release date yet, the game bears a resemblance to the classic ‘Rally Championships’ from 1994!
According to the Scorpion Engine page on Facebook, “Zooperdan is on a roll! His proof of concept Rally game is one of the most stunning AGA Scorpion projects ever conceived, as well as being possibly the first project to demonstrate Scorpion’s viability for top-down racing games.” Stay tuned for updates as more information becomes available 🙂
UPDATE: In response to a reader’s question about whether ‘RallyXSE’ is a genuine game or a demo, Zooperdan stated, “It’s not a game yet. It started as a test to see if it was doable, and it turns out it is. I’ll keep improving it and who knows – maybe it’ll be a full game in the end.” Keep your fingers crossed!
