Early Access Now Available for the VGHF Library

The VGHF Library opens in early access

We have spent eight years assembling a top-tier collection of materials related to game history. This collection is now being transformed into a research tool that is accessible to anyone interested in studying the history of video games.

The Video Game History Foundation Library serves as the permanent repository for our extensive collection, which includes behind-the-scenes documents, press kits, game magazines, promotional materials, artwork, and more. Since our establishment in 2017, we have been diligently building a digital library to aid in the study of video game history by gathering development documents, rare publications, magazines, memorabilia, and other related items.

After meticulously cataloging, processing, and digitizing our collections, we are excited to announce the opening of our virtual doors to the public for the first time. The VGHF collaborates with the game development community to preserve design documents, artwork, video footage, correspondence, and other unique items from the production process. Now, we are granting access to these valuable resources, allowing individuals to delve into how games were created and marketed.
